Refund & Exchange Policy

Incorrectly/defective goods supplied 

Goods are carefully inspected and condition documented prior to shipment. In the event you receive a product different from what was originally ordered (as shown on website) or appears to have a defect please notify within 3 days of purchase / receiving goods. Goods will be exchanged.

Refund & Exchange Policy

Queries must be submitted within 3 days of purchase / receiving goods. Goods are not returnable after seven (7) business days, subject to clauses hereunder. Buyer will cover return courier chargers.

  1. JCT Auto Parts has advised me that the goods are technical in nature, and that a duly qualified person has to install, fit and /or work with the goods. I will not hold JCT Auto Parts liable for any damages caused by me waiving my right of access to a qualified technician to fit, install and /or work with and /or on the goods.
  2. All goods are aftermarket / replacement parts* (not original parts, genuine or OEM parts) and carry a factory warranty* limited to defects in workmanship and/or materials and not wear and tear.
  3. A replacement part will be provided in the case where a part fails prematurely due to defects in workmanship and/or materials.
  4. The warranty becomes null and void if parts are NOT fitted by qualified technician.
  5. Goods not install or fitted by a car fitment center / garage / workshop /panel-beater accredited or approved with RMI (retail motor industry organisation) cannot be returned. Job card stating the problem with the goods to be email with your return or exchange request.
  6. Goods must be returned in its original condition and packaging free of oil stains, paints, fitment marks or scratches.
  7. Goods tampered with or modified are non-refundable and cannot be returned.
  8. Electrical (items electronic by design including electronic mirrors, heated glasses, LED lights, headlights with electric motors or ballast, etc.) are tested by the factory or by JCT Auto Parts and non-refundable and cannot be returned.
  9. Specially ordered goods including vehicle specific goods are non-refundable and cannot be returned.
  10. Courier fees non-refundable.

REFUND

  1.  Any refund due will be made by electronic fund transfer and all returned goods, the return of which is not prohibited as detailed above, are subject to a 25% handling fee to be charged. Courier fees are not refundable.
  2. JCT Auto Parts reserves the right to charge an Administration fee of 15% (Minimum Charge of R250.00) of the total for refunding paid/partially paid or uncollected orders.
  3. A police certified ID copy (both sides of ID card) no older than 7 days, Confirmation of Account (ACCOUNT CONFIRMATION LETTER) and Proof of Payment no older than 30 days is need for any refund.
  4. I will not hold JCT Auto Parts liable for accidental payments. Electronic fund transfer reversals will carried out by your Bank prior to our consent. Should JCT Auto Parts carry out the Electronic fund transfer reversal, JCT Auto Parts reserves the right to charge an Administration fee of 15% of the total amount deposited.
  5. Allow 7 days processing time on refund requests.

Before returning, please send an email to jctautoparts01@gmail.com explaining the issue and providing images if possible.

Cancelled Orders:

Should an Order be cancelled due to Bank Processing Time delays – Attach PDF proof of payment as emailed from the Bank to the Cancellation Note within 7 days of payment date. Order will be processed in a timely fashion.

JCT Auto Parts reserves the Right To Refuse Service to anyone who made a payment by removing the VAT amount from their order total. By which see “Cancelled Orders (Unspecified References and/or Totals)” below.

What is a Proof of Payment?

A Proof of Payment is a PDF file which the Bank emails and shows the Reference used, Amount sent, Date of payment and Trace ID.

Cancelled Orders (Unspecified References and/or Totals):

Should an unspecified Reference and/or Total be used in your payment the order WILL NOT BE PROCESSED:

  1. The PDF proof of payment as emailed from the Bank is to be Attached to the Cancellation Note within 7 days of payment date.
  2. The total amount will be refunded minus Administration Fee of 15% (Minimum Charge of R250.00). See Bullet “3” under REFUND for the refund process.
  3. No inquiry shall be entertained without the PDF proof of payment, including EFT reversals which will then be regarded as Fraud.

Right To Refuse Service

JCT Auto Parts reserves the Right To Refuse Service to anyone who violates these agreed upon terms.

Warranty*

All components, parts, equipment and related goods are sold subject to the implied warranty of the Consumer Protection Act of 2011, to the extent that the customer is a consumer as defined in the Act, and with the proviso that the following conditions are expressly associated with the sale. Goods correctly supplied are not returnable for credit.

In terms of section 20 and 55 (3) of the Consumer Protection Act of 2011, goods correctly supplied which are therefore suitable for the purpose intended, will not be accepted for credit.

 

Aftermarket / Replacement Parts*

An aftermarket part is any part for a vehicle that is not sourced from the car’s maker i.e not original parts, genuine or OEM parts.

JCT Auto Parts imports/sources in bulk from factories or suppliers located China, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, Japan, Brazil, Israel and other countries offering a high quality product at an affordable price.

Poor quality products (products failing quality testing) are marked as “Shop Soil”.

Since the definition or interpretation of “quality” can greatly vary from person to person – if you not happy with ordering a replacement part, we highly recommend purchasing a genuine product from the OEM agent.
